Book Talk Alice’s Adventures

October 22, 2014 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Mark J. Schenker, Ph.D., Dean of Academic Affairs in Yale College

Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (1865) has delighted and mystified audiences for nearly 150 years. As fanciful as his land down the rabbit hole appears to readers, it can be decoded as a looking-glass of sorts for Victorian culture, its foibles and morals. Join Mark Schenker for a look into the possible interpretations of Alice and her cohorts in Wonderland.
