Vessels of Memory: Making, Historicizing, and Memorial in American Art

with Jenny Parsons, Associate Curator

Free with Museum Admission, no advance reservation required

Join Parsons for a highlights tour of the current exhibition Dreams & Memories focusing on the idea of memory. Works of art are like time capsules. How do artists participate in capturing memories or complicating them? How does social identity inform notions of nostalgia and historical memory? Parsons will consider these questions through a discussion of historic and contemporary works from the collection on view in the show.
