Gallery Talk: Growing Closer to Home

September 18, 2016 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Join the Amy Kurtz Lansing, the Museum’s Curator, for a talk focusing on the paintings and photographs of Old Lyme and other Connecticut gardens. Although a part of the larger American Impressionist movement, the artists working in Connecticut approached the subject from a distinct point of view that reflects the state’s special suburban status and the important role played by its landscape designers in the Progressive Movement also underway during this period.

This event is included with Museum admission.
