Gallery Talk: Nature’s Nation: The Hudson River School

Come learn how paintings by America’s first landscape painters such as Thomas Cole, Asher B. Durand, and Frederic Church reflect their unique “naturalist impulse,” including their direct observation of nature, their evolving ideas about American identity, and their interests in modern science.
