GALLERY TALK: Petticoats in New London County, 1750 – 1825

March 16 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

with Lynne Z. Bassett, Textile Historian and Guest Curator

Included with Museum Admission, no advance reservation required

Guest curator Bassett offers an up-close examination of the collection of rare, quilted petticoats in the current exhibition New London County Quilts & Bed Covers: 1750-1825. Mysteries to be shared include: who made them?, where were they made?, where did the inspiration for the designs come from?, and what was the fashion for such items?
