GALLERY TALK: Raccoons, Opossum, and Cake, Oh My!: The Lyme Legacy Continues
August 3 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

with Jenny Parsons, Ph.D., Associate Curator
Join Parsons in the third gallery with Dana Sherwood’s film set to hear about how this contemporary artist continues the legacy of the Lyme Art Colony through the intersecting themes of animals, food, and women’s history. Next, stroll to Sherwood’s outdoor Conservatory sculpture, and on to the Griswold House dining room, where you will learn about the artist’s 2nd commission–an installation that includes live snails feasting on topiary cakes!
Dana Sherwood: Animal Appetites and Other Encounters in Wildness will be on view through September 18.
