Hands-On, Minds-On Education Area

Participate in a variety of free hands-on creative projects provided by local cultural organizations.

Fanciful Glowing Fireflies – provided by Lymes’ Youth Service Bureau
Create your own glow in the dark firefly companion.

Rainbow Bubble Snakes – provided by the Old Lyme PGN Library
The OLPGN Library welcomes all kids to create a Fizz, Boom, Read-themed rainbow bubble snake! Using simple science and a little air, we’ll create colorful “snakes” out of bubbles, dishwashing detergent, water, and plastic water bottles.

Equine Learning Station –provided by High Hopes Therapeutic Riding
Children will learn the basics of all things horses, from the different parts of the horse, the basic care and feeding of horses, the various breeds, and the working disciplines of the equine industry through an interactive experience. Information will be available about therapeutic horsemanship and volunteer opportunities too!
