Sarah Hermanson Meister, Curator, Department of Photography, The Museum of Modern Art
Join Meister as she considers iconic work by American master photographer Dorothea Lange such as Migrant Mother together with rarely seen images–from early street photographs to projects examining the criminal justice system. Lange’s acclaimed career is reconsidered in the context of words historically associated with her pictures: poems, books, and illustrated magazines.
