Lecture: The NEW American Lawn: Curb Appeal We Can Live With
June 15, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
$5.00 – $7.00
Featuring Judy Preston, Naturalist and Conservationist
The American Lawn is the product of years of cultural, social and economic drivers. It is time to examine the roots of this uniquely American phenomenon, with the future in mind. Especially in our coastal communities, recent research suggests that how we manage our local landscapes matters. We will explore how we got here, what’s at stake, and how to accommodate more environmentally friendly practices, and alternatives, to the American Lawn.
