Lecture: Uniting Art and Science to Conserve Our Changing Seas
June 9, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
$5.00 – $7.00
Featuring Courtney Mattison, Artist “Fragile Earth”
Courtney Mattison creates intricately detailed ceramic sculptural works inspired by the fragile beauty of coral reefs and the human-caused threats they face. Her work raises awareness for the protection of our blue planet, urging policy makers and the public to conserve our changing seas. In this talk, Mattison tells the story of how she has come to work at the intersection of art and science, creating large-scale sculptural wall installations.
