Midsummer Concert 2023
July 28 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us Friday, July 28 from 7 to 9pm as the annual free Midsummer Concert returns to the banks of the Lieutenant River! We kick off Old Lyme’s Midsummer Festival in style with this fan favorite event.
This year, the Savage Brothers will rock the riverfront. The Savage Brothers is a six piece funkin’, rockin’, and rhythm group featuring a two-piece horn section. The Hartford-based band established in 1984 has performed all over New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and as far as Cancun, Mexico. The Savage Brothers have shared the stage with acts such as Tower of Power, Joan Osborne, James Cotton, Southside Johnny, NRBQ, The Guess Who, Marshall Tucker, Jimmy Vaughn, Dickey Betts of the Allman Brothers, John Cafferty, Los Lonely Boys, and more. They have released two full-length albums and won numerous awards including the “Best of Hartford” by Hartford Magazine. They’ve given over 6,000 performances and with total professionalism and consistent sound and stage presence, you won’t want to miss this band!
Stake out your spot for a picnic, and enjoy the delicious eats we’ll have for sale from local food trucks. Offerings will include Sweet Seidner’s and Dope Fried Food.
And from 5 to 7pm, the galleries will be open for visitors to enjoy our exhibition Object Lessons in American Art: Selections from the Princeton University Art Museum, free of charge.
We can’t wait to see you there!
