Miss Florence’s Bake Off
September 18 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
$10 entrance fee (Members 10% discount)
Enter your take on Miss Florence’s recipe for cream cakes, originally printed in the Lyme Receipt Book (1886) and reprinted recently in the exhibition catalogue Dana Sherwood: Animal Appetites and Other Encounters in Wildness. Entries will be judged by food appearance, overall presentation, and taste. Advance reservation required.
In the spirit of friendly competition, no additional recipe information is available.
Prizes awarded in Gift Certificates to The Shop at the Florence Griswold Museum. 1st Place: $100, 2nd Place: $75, 3rd Place: $50.
Entry drop-off 1-2pm. Judging 2-3pm. Prizes awarded and public viewing 3-4pm. Entry removal at 4pm.
