Florence Griswold Recounts a Night of Merriment & Metamorphosis featuring Leslie Evans, Historian and Director of the Avery-Copp House Museum, Groton, CT.
Ah, what a night! Miss Florence, and her family home, have been transformed after an insect-themed soirée thrown by the Bohemian artists of the Lyme Art Colony. Still abuzz with excitement of the artistic antics of the night before, Miss Florence recounts the evening’s activities, the festive food, the thrilling music, and her new-found love for all creatures with six legs or more. Jennifer Angus’s installation Silver Wings and Golden Scales is the setting for this first-person theatrical appearance.
Free with Museum admission.
