Off-Site Event: Painting the Barbizon Oak
August 9, 2017 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
$5.00 – $7.00Julie Garvin Riggs, Museum Educator
Just like the original artists of the Lyme Art Colony, participants are invited to walk from the Museum to the site of the Barbizon Oak, a famed tree in the Champlain Farm North property, maintained by the Town of Old Lyme. Geared for people new to painting en plein air, but open to everyone, this gathering will be a time to connect to the art making of yesteryear. Meet at Education Center. All materials provided, but feel free to bring your own supplies as well.
