Unlike many women of her day, painter Lilian Hale continued her successful career after her marriage and the birth of her daughter Nancy in 1908. She used her as a model from the very start, depicting her in charcoal and in oil from infancy to adulthood. Hirshler discusses how the two women saw themselves and one another in the Flo Gris’ luminous Hale, Woman Resting.
This program takes place virtually via GoTo Webinar. You will receive a confirmation email of your registration. The link to the virtual program will be sent via email closer to the event date.
