VIRTUAL LECTURE: The Power of Tarot: Archetypes in Art, Myth, and Nature
July 27 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
with Li Sumpter, Ph.D., Multidisciplinary Artist and Independent Scholar
$10 (members 10% discount)
Explores the timeless art and archetypes of tarot traditions from around the world discussed in parallel with the mythic elements of Dana Sherwood‘s multidisciplinary works.
As Sumpter offers insight into the constellation of human and animal figures that populate Sherwood’s dreams and creative visions, an emergent myth of the artist’s own design begins to unfold. From The Rider and The Blind Seer to The Trickster and The Shadow, learn the meaning behind some of the recurring symbols and motifs that give life to Dana Sherwood’s evergreen imagination.
