An exciting addition to the New England museum landscape, the Westerly Museum of American Impressionism (WMAI) is currently being constructed in Westerly, Rhode Island and is expected to open in 2025. Established by philanthropists and art collectors Thomas P. and Cynthia D. Sculco, the museum will be dedicated to the research and exhibition of artworks created by American Impressionists from the 1880s-1920s.

In this pop-up exhibition at the FloGris Museum, select paintings from WMAI’s collection will provide a glimpse into what the museum’s galleries will offer.

Join us at the FloGris for a lecture on August 11 at 2pm with Catherine Shotick, the Director of the WMAI, who will speak about the construction of the new museum and the artwork that will be on view there.
