MUSEUM THEATER: The Slave Narratives

Join master storyteller Andre Keitt for a series of readings based on the real-life stories of the newly emancipated enslaved through their own words. A member of the Black Caucus of The American Library Association, Keitt is an independent folklore lecturer and storyteller. He has delighted in being a teaching artist and literacy activity leader for students in Greater Hartford and surrounding regions for such arts and humanities institutions as Hartford Stage Company, The Bushnell Memorial, Connecticut Humanities, Readers As Leaders, CT, and the Hartford Symphony Orchestra. Currently he is the Artistic Director for the writers workshop, Journey Writers, Inc. He is also the Program and Event Consultant at Farmington Historical Society and a board member of the Connecticut Freedom Trail.

Educational & Travel Program Refund Policy
No refunds for Broadway bus trips or Miss Florence’s Teas after transaction is complete. Refunds for programs over $20 are subject to a $20 cancellation fee. Refunds (less $20 fee) are offered for cancellations made prior to a program’s noted refund date. Programs without a refund date can be cancelled one hour prior to event.
