FAMILY EVENT: Corn Husk Doll Workshop

Free with Museum Admission

Join Testa for a fun and informative workshop to make dolls using corn husks. Geared for makers, age 10 or older, or someone working with their adult.

Testa lives with her community on the Mashantucket Reservation. For the past two decades, she has dedicated herself to assisting in the revitalization of her Peoples’ language and culture.

Native Prospects: Indigeneity and Landscape its tour and the accompanying publication are organized by the Thomas Cole National Historic Site.

Native Prospects: Indigeneity and Landscape is made possible through support from the Terra Foundation for American Art.

Major support is provided by David Bury & The Bay and Paul Foundations and the Warner Foundation.

The exhibition and publication are also supported by The Cranshaw Corporation, National Endowment for the Arts, Wyeth Foundation for American Art and Becky Gochman.
