Locomotion rocks the banks of the Lieutenant River at the free Midsummer Concert from 7 to 9pm. Started in 1987, Locomotion has become a favorite party and dance band in southern New England performing all styles of music at events across the region.

The Locomotion lineup consists of a full power-house horn section, two lead singers, and super tight rhythm section to deliver a wide range of music including classic Motown hits, funk, rock, 80s dance, disco, standards, swing, and rhythm and blues.

Enjoy bites from local food trucks onsite, or camp out with a picnic in your favorite spot. The Museum’s galleries will be open and free of charge from 5 to 7pm to view Impressionism 150: From Paris to Connecticut & Beyond and From Art Colony to Connecticut Collection: Highlights from the Florence Griswold Museum.
